Computers: Feedback: A stitch in time
THE piece on embroidery last week drew a considerable response, writes Andrew Brown.
Margaret Beith of Chester wrote: 'The main problem with using a sewing machine attached to a computer is that the computer cannot do anything else while the embroidery is being worked. Most people I know who do embroidery or quilting have to share the computer with other members of the family who want it for quite useless pursuits.'
Mrs Beith recommends instead using a computer solely for the design of patterns.
