Patients died in 'rush' move

CommentsA health authority has taken the blame for the 'rush decision' to transfer 24 elderly mentally ill patients from Park Prewett Hospital, near Basingstoke in Hampshire, to nursing homes last March. A consultant advised against moving some of them. Eight died, five of them - including three the doctor was unhappy about - within 22 days of the move.
