Follow live coverage as Crystal Palace face Nottingham Forest today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest share the points in the Premier League with a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park. The opening 45 minutes lacked action, with Munoz and Elanga forcing the only saves of the first half from Sels and Henderson, respectively. After the break, the chances began to flow, with Palace ending the game with an expected goals tally of 2.56 to Forest's 0.71. The Eagles opened the scoring after Mitchell was brought down in the penalty area by Sels. Eze stepped up to the spot, and he dispatched into the corner to give his side the lead. Just a few minutes later, Forest levelled proceedings as Williams' strike from outside the box was turned into the opposite corner by Murillo. Palace looked the more likely to find the winner, with Eze firing against the bar late on before Nketiah's goal was disallowed for offside in added time. It was a fiery affair with 10 yellow cards between the two teams, but just the two goals at Selhurst Park, with the points shared. Up next for Palace is a trip to Tottenham, while Forest will host already relegated Leicester City on Sunday.

We're now into the ninth minute of added time, but despite only eight being added on, we're expecting a few more. Milenkovic was down injured and required treatment, while there was also a communication issue between the officials, which took a few minutes to resolve.

Another Forest defender is now down injured, and this time it's Milenkovic. The towering centre-back is being treated by the Forest medical team after being struck in the face. Nuno won't want to lose another player at the back.

Close! Forest attempt to clear from a corner as Sels punches away, and it falls to Hughes inside the box on the right-hand side. He sends a dipping half volley towards the far corner, but it's over the bar and behind for a goal-kick.

Munoz plays a one-two with Lerma and gets to the byline before firing a low cross towards the back post. Sels palms it away and it cannons off his own team-mate, but it just about deflects behind for a corner. Hughes will take and he delivers into the middle, but Sels punches away.

Palace have the ball in the net, but it won't count! Eze creates space for himself inside the penalty area, and he fires towards the bottom corner. Nketiah helps to poke it home, firing into the back of the net, but the assistant referee has his flag up. Nketiah was in an offside position.
